Scott Saddle is a nice half day walk, up through native Beech forests before climbing to sub alpine bush. On a clear day there is amazing views in all directions including that of Mt Hutt and Canterbury plains.

This track is mostly well formed but does have some steep and loose rock sections, we will be taking our time and stopping for a cuppa along the way but a reasonable level of fitness is required along with a sturdy pair of walking shoes/boots.

Please organise your own transport to the Awa Rata Reserve at 10:30am. At the end of the track we will be met for a shuttle ride back down the Mt Hutt Ski Area access road to your cars.
The $20 cost will be donated to the Awa Awa Rata Reserve Society. An alternate track will be used on the day if weather is nasty.
